Agnes at age 11On August 16, 1985 Agnes Bruckner was born in Hollywood California. She lived a low key life around Burbank California, until she hit the tender young age of 11. In 1997 She had a role on the hit daytime soap The Bold & The Beautiful on December 31, 1997, her first episode aired. A few months later she signed a 3 year contract for the role or Bridget Forrester. A year later, still very young she appeared as the lead in the HBO movie The Shruken City. When Agnes potrayed Meg, in Blue Car in 2002, she recieved received a nomination for an Independent Spirit Award for best female lead, numourous critical and audience praise for her work, as well as appearing in numerous magazines (Teen People, Teen Vogue & Seventeen) as "the one to watch".

In 2003 Bruckner appeared as Eve O'Lette in the harrowing drama about a man, his daughter and his sleazy boss. In Rick. She co-starred alongside Aaron Stanford, Bill Pullman and Sandra Oh. In 2005 the bilinguel actress (she speaks English, Russian and Hungarian) had a lead role in the less than memorable horror flick Venom and also filmed work in Lucky McKee's - director of the cult classic May follow up film The Woods. The film stayed on shelves for nearly two years until it was finally released on dvd in October of 2006.

2006 proved to be Agnes' busiest year to date, she had 5 movies that had premieres or dvd releases and she filmed 2 more. She also guest starred on the NBC television drama Law & Order: Criminal Intent as an aspiring singer who kills her record producer. The Peaceful Warrior premiered to select cinemas in June 2006 and the film was so well recieved that it ended up getting a re-release for Next March (2007). She has a small role alongside other cast members Nick Nolte and Amy Smart. Agnes also co-starred alongside Kelli Garner and John Corbet in the coming of age drama Dreamland in 2006, the film premiered at Sundance and was hailed by critics everywhere. Everyone called Agnes' performance 'nothing short of brilliant'. The film had several premieres including The opening of the 11th Annual Gen Art Film Festival. Agnes was accompanied by her sister Jane at the Los Angeles premiere. In late 2006, several of Agnes' projects we thought would never see the light of day were released on dvd - The Iris Effect in July, which had been postponed since 2003. The Woods in October which was shelved since 2004 and Haven and Dreamland in December.

At the beginning of 2007, the press circuit for Blood & Chocolate was booming. The film was based upon the beloved novel by Annette Kurtis Clause, and Agnes played Vivian the female lead. The film was released on January 26 to a less than successful box office. Although most of the reviews were bad, several still had nice things to say about her, most horror websites have become quite interested in following Agnes' career in the horror genre...she has done four major genre pieces to date.

Agnes recently wrapped filming on yet another horror piece - this time a pychological thriller directed by Project Greenlight's Chris Moore. Agnes will play Jennifer, a young women who goes with a group of close friends to a remote vacation home celebrate their college graduation. While there, they are put to a horrifying test by a mysterious killer who forces them into a game where they have to kill each other or themeselves in order to survive. The film is due out in August.
