Sure, we can discuss the highs and levels of the week – what you accomplished, what you missed, or perhaps toned out forgot. But Items be honest and admit I start thinking about this information on Sunday, knowing I will not distribute it until mid-week. Thus, why think about Thursday’s article on Sunday?
Permit me tell you about my week.
I noticed on Friday how many other social media discussions were kicking off with “Fri-YAY! “, we all get it done. I was putting your signature on off a number of my e-mails with TGIF, and have been known to commemorate Friday-eve on Thursday. The question is why, why do I celebrate the conclusion of the week? I REALLY LIKE what I do, I actually love my clients, and just love my entire life.
My own son (famously praised for his random questions) said if I think the first day of the week is Sunday or Mon. Think about this for some time, I’ll show my thought at the end. His questions made me think about my week, because I have a very distinct regular plan. Can it start On the or Monday?
Here is how I plan my week:
I plan for one full technology free day a week, their most likely going to be Saturdays.
Monday – Delegation day. I read over all my e-mails and send out new items that should be delegated, or need further information. I’ll admit, often times I start this on Sunday, but I never send the emails until Monday morning out of respect for the family time of others (hurray delay delivery! ). In the event that I have meetings approaching up, I may touch base and confirm appointment times, call in quantities and so forth
Tues – Call day #1. Generally, back to returning calls all day. My spouse and i don’t even try to get paperwork done. I really do keep my calendar open up and add tasks and follow ups at the end of each call, but that’s about as close as I get to paperwork.
Wednesday – Focus day. I very rarely schedule a call and have been known to turn my cellphone off. This is how I take on large tasks that need fine detail and focus. By this time, I’ve received info back from my Mon delegation emails, and can get down to the work that should be done.
Thursday night – Call day #2. Again, typically back to back scheduled calls.
Followup Friday is what My spouse and i call it up. What am I missing? What clients desire a follow up email, prospects, outstanding documents? What are the Monday delegation email messages outstanding? Any tasks not looked after during the week, will land on my Friday plate.
Saturday – Technology free day (except my kindle, an person get to take my kindle away! )
On the – Ahh Sunday. That is my secret (now of course not so secret) work day. We review my plan for the week, plan and plan for client calls, maybe do a couple of writing. I clean up my inbox, routine tasks for the week. It’s probably my favorite work day of the “week”. I do write emails, but delay the delivery so not to interrupt others.
So, circling back to my question earlier in the content, will your week start Saturday or Monday? My have your say, still Monday, because my Sunday work time, is a lot like a little indulgence that I decide on, off anyone’s radar.
